When she was eight years old, she received a Brownie box camera and began to photograph her sister, her pet monkey, the moon. In more recent years she has been drawn to older adults as subjects and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston has published two books of her works: Faces of Aging I and Faces of Aging II. She spends part of the year in Cape Cod where she focuses on landscapes. The rest of the year, in Los Angeles, she turns her camera to street photography, people, and derelict buildings. In fact, there isn’t any subject matter that does not interest her. She has received numerous awards and fellowships for her work, which hangs in permanent museum collections, including that of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. Many of her photographs have been published in books and magazines.
